Friendly, approachable and personalised counselling for young people and adults.

My approach

I work in a person-centred way, which means the sessions are led by the issues you bring. My role is to support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and concerns in a safe, non-judgemental space. My approach is warm and down to earth, enabling you to talk openly about whatever is troubling you.

Change looks different for everyone. Whatever you are going through, we will work together to find clarity and a way forward that feels right for you. I aim to help you build on your own inner resources, developing self-awareness and self-acceptance.

I am trained as an Integrative Therapist. While the person-centred approach underpins my practice, I also draw on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and TA (Transactional Analysis) when they are helpful. Every client is unique, so our work together will always be tailored to you and taken at your pace.

  • “All I can say is we found Emma at the right time, my daughter absolutely loves her and looks forward to the sessions every week. She is kind, friendly, and really knows her stuff. She is perfect for my daughter and I would not hesitate in recommending Emma.”

  • "Last year I was seeing this wonderful lady called Emma as my counsellor. I had struggled for many years and I’d never been able to open up with anyone like I did with this marvellous lady. She sat and listened with no judgement I even got to open up about things i had never spoke about for many years. I’d very highly recommend Emma as a very professional counsellor she gives you all the time you need I just wish there was more like her around in this profession"
